Silent Agreement. Another profound performance by George at the Guinness Theatre. I seem to remember the show for reasons other that the music, such as the speakers who flashed light at the end of a speaker-shattering piece, and a lighting gel perching at the edge of the gel holder, causing the light to flutter over the performer's head. Oh by the way, he was better lit this time round, compared to previous shows when his only source of light was from his Apple screen ... His presentation skills has improved somewhat too.
Pichet Klunchun and I. Almost the same group of friends who watched George also turned up for this collaboration effort between Jerome Bel and Pichet. I remembered Jerome from his two presentations during the last Flying Circus Project, he left a distinct impression on me with his interesting and daring interpretations on his version of theatre and drama. Anyway, the show unfolds simply as two theatre personnel from vastly different backgrounds, trying to understand each other's ideas and performance style. The show was mostly chat, with lots of humour, so we were not too bothered by the uncomfortable seating ... It was a worthwhile experience, and I look forward to Pichet's performance next month at the National Museum opening.
