Electric Purgatory: The Fate of the Black Rocker was a great documentary about the plight of Black Rock n' Roll in America, about how the community faces obstacles to be heard, about how record companies try to bring them down, and how they form their own companies to push their music to be heard. Now where were the local musicians who can draw inspirations after watching this documentary? Blame it on non-publicity then ...
Good to see Fishbone in action. They were one hell of a funky band ... I have to listen to my Prince cds again as well.
This is a lesson to all other arts and culture communities, we need to work together in order for our voices to be heard!
