Its been a quiet week leading to the Chinese New Year.
No movies for me this week, but a slew of films to look out for in February, some thanks, or many thanks, to the Golden Globes and Oscars ...
- Fearless (Jet Li, Nakamura Shido)
- Match Point (Jonathan Rhys-Myers, Scarlett Johansson)
- A Season for Love (Cha Tae-hyun, Jung Woo-sung)
- Womb Raider (Yangtze)
- Secret Journey (Yangtze)
- Screwed (Yangtze, Asano Tadanobu)
- Walk the Line (Joaquim Phoenix & Reese Weatherspoon)
- Casanova (Heath Ledger, Siena Miller)
- Pink Panther (Steve Martin, Kevin Kline)
- Brokeback Mountain (Jake Gyllenhaal, Heath Ledger)
- Zoolander (Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson)
- The Libertine (Johnny Depp, Samantha Morton)
- The Producers (Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick)
- Mrs Henderson Presents (Judy Dench, Bob Hoskins)
- M1 Festival
- NUS Festival
Now, if I were to try to catch all of them, I will need to watch about ... four movies in a week. What an exciting challenge ...
For mothers and daughters:

Met a group of students who will be writing for the performance. This is the first time any of the students have any idea what the eventual event will be about. I think the teachers have done an excellent job shrouding the whole project in mystery ... I detect uncertainty in their eyes during the meeting, but I guess once everyone has settled down, the creative juices will start to flow. I believe once more students are involved, it will be easier for communication to get ideas across. I am hoping to compile some articles and essays to read over this holiday, so that we know what levels they can be up to. This is also a good learning process for them as well, to turn their prose to scripts ... Hope the next meeting next week will be a fruitful one.
Top Gun 2: Brokeback Squadron

Between Christmas to Chinese New Year, there seems to be a holiday every week. It is a little difficult planning for work within these two months, as people go away for holidays, and they take their offs and leaves with them ... February and March will be dry (Valentine's Day is not a holiday, for me at least ...), until April comes along.
Right now I must say my room looks rather decent. Floor space hasn't changed, not when my room is the smallest of three, but I think the tops (table, cupboard, shelves, etc) are looking rather neat and tidy. I've thrown new mothballs into every other nook and cranny I can find. New clothing have been acquired, mostly. Much old stuff have been thrown, I don't believe in keeping too much old things around ... so, basically ...
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL!!!
