Monday was a Public Holiday.
I am not quite sure what it means anymore.
Not the religious significance.
Not the fact that it's a Monday, and thus for once, no Monday blues ...
It is, well, just a holiday lah!
Which I think is rather sad.
If you give people a holiday, at least tell them why ... especially if the holiday is not as well celebrated as Xmas or CNY or Hari Raya ...
Or else, it is just another day like ... Sunday ...

It is important to have a quiet place for rehearsal.
Well, it is important to have a quiet place for any activity that requires thinking.
(Which is why my radio / cd is off now as I type ...)
Creativity really consumes your energy.
I want to think of myself thinking when I think.
And not what they are singing downstairs.
Not what model car just vroom past the street outside.
Not what pedigree dog was barking from the house opposite.
I need to hear the silence in my head, thinking.

Its been a long time since I cannot finish a food item.
There is now a new kid on the block.
Twistees - Fizz!
Blue colour side of the yellow wrapper.
Think it tastes of orange ... twistees?
Most pukable.
Whoever reads this, I urge you never to buy this favour of twistees, the rest are fine.

I did not warm up my voice early for today's rehearsal.
Were they expecting another outburst?
I was too busy being ... a monkey, too busy jumping around, too busy squatting.
The routine tire me out.
Tire me out ...

I miss Stock Aitken and Waterman.
Watched a Bananarama video after rehearsal.
I still remember the lyrics.
I can't believe those were the fashion, the dance routine, the hair, of the eighties.
But I am proud of those years, those music, this fashion, which I grew up with.

I don't know what is the appeal of LJS, out of all the fast food restaurants.
They have got to be the most unhealthy among the whole lot.
I predicted the chain's demise, after A&W.
It hasn't happen yet.
Perhaps it is because they are not afraid at being unhealthy.
Perhaps the customers know, and like, the fact that they are unhealthy.
I wish I don't go there so often.

Falling in love in Singapore
Two of my (foreign) students may not continue their tertiary education here, after O levels.
They expressed their sadness and regrets.
Strangely, it warms my heart.
When there are people who want to leave this country because they think there are greener pastures elsewhere.
There are others who want to continue their fate with this tiny island, to study, to work, to wish for a better life.
The country stays, people move.
If fate is on your side, you can be here for a long time.
